Types of flours explained

Here is the list of types of flours

  1. Wheat - Gehu - Ghavu - This flour is generally used to make wraps or Rotis.
  2. Pearl Millet - Bajara - Bajari - This flour is used to make Bajari Roti.
  3. Sorghum - Jowar Atta - Jwari flour - This flour is used to make Jowar Roti.
  4. Finger Millet - Ragi - Nachni - This flour is used to make Ragi Wraps. It's also a very good baby food.
  5. Amaranath -  Rajgira  (Rajgaro) - This is used to make many fasting dishes.
  6. Kuttu - Buckwheat - This flour is used to make fasting dishes during Navratri.
  7. Singhare - Singoda - Water chestnut flour 
  8. Gram flour - Besan - This flour is made from the chickpeas.
  9. Maize flour - Makki Atta - This flour is made from the Maize grains.
  10. Rice flour - This flour is made from rice grains and can be used to make many South Indian dishes.
